New Look…

… to my little space!  I should be Marie Kondo-ing my room right now (I actually started and got distracted…I wonder by what??) by touching items trying to figure out what exactly is giving me joy and what isn’t, then saying “thank you” to the items that sparked “HELL NO” for serving me.

Finished Virus Shawl!

I decided to leave it unblocked because I love the look.  This one took me a while because I didn’t work on it every day.

My Daddy was kind enough to help me show the actual length.  He is 5’9″ he asked that I crop out his head, so I did.  This shawl uses is DK (sport/baby) weight.  I am incredibly pleased with the results. I will be selling all of my work soon, just need to figure out how to start.

My project so far …

Pineapple Peacock Shawl in Parrot Stripe color. I am in love with the way the colors change on this shawl.  This is only half done, and it hasn’t been blocked but look at those colors!  I will be posting a picture of the finished product really soon.

I am currently edging my Virus shawl, and I am thrilled with the way that one is coming out as well. Once I block that one I will post a picture of it.  I am considering bringing my projects to a consignment shop to see if anyone would be interested in buying my creations. I have more yarn than the law allows and need to use it to make room for the new ones that are coming out soon.

Next project will either be a bag or a blanket. I may just work on both!  🙂

Next Project :)

I’m almost finished with the virus shawl that I made for my Mom. I am now starting on this beautiful Peacock Shawl. I have included pictures and the written pattern in the blog post. I have also linked the information on Amy Gunderson (the designer of this pattern at Universal Yarns) at

Just a note, I literally taught myself how to crochet by watching Youtube, buying books, and lots of mistakes with infinite patience.  If I could pick it up, you can too just remember you will not be perfect the first time.  I will be posting my projects as I start them.  If you are looking for great deals on yarn (they are good deals, and I am pretty sure you can find whatever you need because my store selection is so big) check out my yarn shop!  I also sell accessories for knitting, crochet, and embroidery.  This will be so pretty when I am done!  I am using the multicolored yarn for my project, but you can use any color you wish.

Current Project

This is the shawl that doen’t ennnnddd, it goes on and on my friennnnddd!

I want it to be a little bigger more like a shawl you would see Stevie Nicks wearing. I think I may even add fringe or something similar to it when I’m finally done.

This one is called a Virus Shawl because it just grows and grows.  The pattern is straightforward and easy to remember too. It is a repeat pattern. I can’t wait to finish this one and start on something else!

I think I will even make the shawl that you see in the picture … I have a thing for shawls. I guess I’m a Witchy Woman as well. 🙂
