Louisiana Pecan Pralines


Yes.  I know this isn’t Paleo..diet anything.  But I have been wanting a authentic praline since I have visited My hometown New Orleans.

1 cup cane sugar
1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
2 /3 cup evaporated milk
4 TBS unsalted butter (frozen)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 OZ Chopped pecans

Add sugars and milk to medium pot stir to dissolve sugar.

Over medium heat bring to 240 (soft ball) stirring occasionally.

Once to 240 (soft ball) add butter…do not stir…wait a minute then add vanilla and pecans.

Stir with wooden spoon until candy starts to thicken.

Place spoonfuls onto parchment paper…let set for about 30 minute to an hour.

Enjoy. No refrigeration needed. Airtight container or sandwich bags…if they make it that long
